Creepy office

This office belongs to an artist named Jim Lawrence who works for Morris Costumes in Charlotte, NC. He has some of the coolest props and creatures tucked into just about every corner of his office.

Cecil

"Cecil" was a wonderful costume created by my good friend Clayton Sayre waaaay back in 1990. It was made of upholstery foam brush over with liquid latex. It's eyes were capable of movement, it's mouth could move up & down, and it also had a "spittle" tube connected to a squeeze bulb on the inside filled with water. The sign in Cecil's left hand reads, "My name is Cecil. Play with me!"

Blue Dragon

This is a really cool blue dragon from the Costume Showcase competition. It was made by Center Stage Costumes & Magic.

FIRE!!!!

Morris Costumes' fire alarm policy.

One BIG-ASS TROLL!

This is Ken Epperly, one of the owners of Magic Makers Costumes in Huntington standing alongside a really big troll display tucked in the corner of the warehouse of Morris Costumes in Charlotte, NC, where the 2003 NCA convention was held. This was during their shop tour. More images from Morris' will come later.

Tribal Babe

This one was really neat...not to mention wildly erotic for the men in the audience!

Blue Couple

Strange blue couple wearing silver face masks.

Gold Couple

Interesting white & gold wedding couple. I think the guy looks a bit like Jack Black.

Mrs. Neptune

Cool, undersea-lookin' creation.

First official Blog post!!!!

Welcome, everyone, to my Costume Blog! Many thanks to Rick Lee and Bob Coffield for setting this up for me at the CAB.4 meeting at Rick's studio on 4/7/06, I am much obliged. For my first REALLY official post on my newly-created blog, I'm going to start with some shots of a few really neat costumes from the National Costumers Association (NCA) convention in Nashville in 2002. I'll be posting more shots later from this con as well as the more recent ones, in addition to photos of interesting costumes I encounter in my travels, which is basically what this blog will be, not necessarily just costumes that my company creates. Enjoy, and feel free to post comments about any of them. Dale.
