"What...the hell...are YOU!!!"

Venturing away from mascots for a few posts and into the world of masks & make-up. Here is my own Predator mask and costume that I made waaay back in 1987. This was only the second latex mask I had ever attempted, the first being a rather crude Freddy Krueger. I also made the Predator's face shield from fiberglass (not pictured). The armor for this costume is basically cardboard and model parts. The shoulder cannon was moveable by means of two servo motors attached to it and was remote controlled from about twenty feet away by a second person. It was cool because people would come up to me, the cannon would raise up and point at them...then follow them as they moved. Some people would wave their hand in front of the cannon thinking there was some sort of electronic eye it or something.

I remember running into you in the mall at National Record Mart when you wore that...

Oh man that is one hell of a mask, how much would something like that cost? it must be a lot as there seems to be a lot of detail that has gone into its design

It'd cost quite a bit, man. I could make this mask ten times better now than I could waaay back then.
